The Five College Study Tips That Will Get You The Grades You Want

According to a recent study, students who had study goals performed better than those who did not. Somehow, setting goals helped them achieve more in their academics. What are study goals and how do they help the student? How do you set study goals?
Wednesday’s session (my fifth attempt at writing for an uninterrupted 2 hours) turned into a journal writing session. I really wanted to focus on getting a grip on the direction I should take and so I wrote out my goals and some thoughts related to those goals. Less than halfway in, I decided I had my stuff figured out and I got distracted. I ended up on Facebook, dwelled on some things. It look me a few minutes (read: 20) to get back on track, and then I started writing this post on making the most of your writing session. I know firsthand!
What parent hasn’t wondered if their teenager is a lost cause? Why don’t teenagers like to talk to their parents? Unfortunately, most adolescents do not like to be lectured at or told what to do. Parents tend to bring up their own experiences, making it seem like they have all the answers for their teenagers. Just what teens hate. What teenagers really need is someone to listen to them, someone to help them figure out their own solutions to their problems, without judgement.
Just as adults, teen s need to feel they matter. They need to understand that what they think, feel and do are important to you and to the world. You can help your teen understand this by spending quality time together and truly getting to know your child. Ask your teen what he or she enjoys and wants to do, and then do it together. Don’t force anything, but let it flow. Teens thrive in an environment of respect, love and understanding.
Finish all your chores – Getting rid of distractions is important if you want to have a productive study session. All too often chores, texts, emails, and instant messages distract us from the task at hand that make us lose focus. You need to finish all chores so you can truly concentrate on your study. When you are able to focus and concentrate well, you will be able to absorb more and have a better chance at passing the CPC exam.
11 – Put your office in the quietest spot you can find. Maybe it’s a garage with no windows or an attic closet. writing requires concentration, and distractions can come from sounds (people talking, traffic noise, etc) and also from objects that cause your mind to stray. Many professional writers try to make their offices as remote and as plain (bare) as possible.
In the English language the translation that I recommend is the so-called King James or Authorized version. I am a Catholic and yet I recommend this translation for personal study of the Bible. I know some of the words there are foreign to a present day reader. They are called archaic words which belong to the English language in the 16th century but are no longer used now. But there are copies of this version where at the back of the Bible there is a Bible word list where these words are given equivalents in our time. Get a copy of such a King James version Bible. Many groups of Christians are giving out this copy free. Avail of one.
Do you ever feel like, with certain issues, the harder you try to get your teen to do something, the more they push back? You’ve tried everything under the sun to get them to do what you’ve asked. You’ve explained, threatened, ignored, reminded, given consequences, yelled, stayed calm and nothing seems to work.
Inspirational music. For me, I can’t concentrate without a soft mellow music around. I prefer classical music, instrumental jazz, and western songs. Though, others prefer a silent place, but most people I talked, prefers to have with them a soft mellow sound during their paper writing service hours.
